Job summary

CI Solutions is seeking a Principal Embedded Firmware Engineer to own the CR-One firmware platform and related tooling. You will drive architecture, build pipelines, provisioning, release, and support across hardware, backend, and product teams.

The role emphasizes ownership of embedded Rust architecture, NFC/RFID protocols, and secure device lifecycle, with collaboration across departments to deliver customer-ready capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong professional in embedded systems or infrastructure.
• Substantial hands-on microcontroller firmware experience.
• Experience with RTOS-based systems, interrupts, peripheral drivers, persistent state, and resource-constrained devices.
• Ability to debug hardware directly from datasheets, register maps, and protocol specs.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of the CR-One firmware platform and its build, flash, provisioning, release, and update pipelines.
• Extend firmware safely on devices in customer environments and improve it over time.
• Own OTA release lifecycle, including signing, staged deployment, health validation, and incident response.
