Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Senior Principal Electronics Engineer in Rancho Bernardo, CA. You will lead research, design, integration and test of advanced electronic systems, including RF datalinks and SATCOM, and act as Comms Resiliency Lead across Enterprise Contracts.

The role requires extensive integration experience, DoD clearance, and ability to travel up to 25%. A hybrid work environment may be offered with ongoing program coordination and mentorship responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8+ years of related engineering experience or Master’s with 6+ years or PhD with 4+ years in STEM.
• DoD/airborne or ground platform integration experience required.
• Active or recent DoD Top Secret clearance is preferred or required for access.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, development, integration, and test of electronic equipment and systems including RF datalinks and SATCOM.
• Maintain complex RF communications architectures and related components.
• Provide technical status, direction, and oversight for comms resiliency across programs.
