Our Airborne RF Electronics Design Department has an immediate need for a Principal Electrical Engineer to provide senior‑level radar/RF hardware leadership across production, system integration, and sustainment environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands‑on CCA/LRA hardware expertise, strong radar/RF engineering proficiency, and demonstrated ability to lead complex investigations and mentor technical teams.
This role is critical to maintaining technical rigor, ensuring hardware performance through production, and strengthening execution across a diverse radar hardware portfolio. The position requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and leadership, and includes periodic travel to Forest, MS in support of production troubleshooting and supplier engagement. The role resides within the Surveillance & Tactical Radar Support section supporting Terrain Following Radar (TFR) products at Raytheon’s McKinney, TX facility.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
