Job summary

PG&E is seeking a Principal in Electric Compliance Strategic Initiatives to drive priority projects and strengthen the compliance program across the organization. The role emphasizes turning complex requirements into actionable frameworks to improve performance and accountability.

The selected candidate will lead with a strategic vision, partner with Legal, Regulatory Affairs, and Operations, and ensure that compliance is embedded in how PG&E operates within a dynamic energy landscape.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
10 years of relevant experience.
Five+ years in a leadership role leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Set Compliance Strategy and Drive Implementation: Define, lead, and implement the strategic direction for the Electric Compliance organization, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
Drive Cross-Functional Execution: Lead enterprise-wide initiatives that advance compliance program maturity, reduce risk exposure, and embed compliance into operational routines.
Accelerate Compliance Adoption: Champion adoption of strategic compliance initiatives across lines of business through thoughtful change leadership and stakeholder engagement.
Shape Executive Communications: Develop and deliver impactful compliance communications for executive forums, translating complexity into clarity for senior leaders.
Establish Best Practices: Create and sustain a comprehensive library of compliance best practices through benchmarking, external engagement, and cross-industry collaboration.
Align Regulatory Partners: Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, Asset Strategy, and Operations to ensure cohesive interpretation and application of regulatory requirements.
Communicate with Clarity & Authority: Engage confidently with senior leaders and stakeholders, translating complex reporting requirements into clear and digestible actions and communications.
