You will have the opportunity to lead stimulating projects that result in direct applications for new designs.

You will work directly with Integrated Product Teams of various programs, as well as in-house engineers in robotics and automation, metallic materials, composite materials, and digital engineering.

Your career will rapidly accelerate with opportunities that provide hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing technologies, internal and external customer communications, and design-build-test experiences.

  • Represent Bell with engagement in industry organizations, committees, and government/industry workshops and conferences.
  • Prepare and pitch technical proposals for independent research and development (IRAD) and contracted research and development (CRAD).
  • Define and justify capital equipment, facilities, raw materials, subcontracted services, durable and perishable tooling requirements for the successful execution of projects.

Skills You Bring To this Role:

  • Understanding of American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) standards, methods and materials.
  • Experience with gear, gearbox and metallic rotor component manufacturing equipment, tooling, processes, metrology and nondestructive inspection as well as defect analysis & material review.
  • Familiarity with aerospace materials including metals, thermal treatments, and surface finishing.
  • Effective communicator, both oral and written. Presentation skills, technical writing skills, and project organization, execution and reporting are most important.
  • Capability to manage projects with budget, schedule and resource allocations.
  • We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate.

What you need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience. Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
  • At least 10 years of aerospace dynamic (gear, gearbox and rotorcraft) component experience required.
  • Direct aviation experience with dynamic systems engineering design, analysis, and manufacturing methods.
  • CATIA V5, V6 and 3DX direct experience.

What we offer you in return:

  • You’ll be off every other Friday with our 9/80 work schedule
  • 80 hours of Personal Time Off (PTO)
