We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) as part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next-generation stop-fold aircraft. This position is onsite in Fort Worth at Bell's state-of-the-art Manufacturing Technology Center at Hwy 820 and I-35W.

Bring your innovative mindset to Bell to lead the way to the most advanced aircraft drive and rotor technologies in the world. You will lead stimulating projects with direct applications for new designs, working closely with Integrated Product Teams across various programs, as well as in-house engineers specializing in robotics, automation, metallic and composite materials, and digital engineering. Your career will accelerate with hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing technologies, customer engagement, and design-build-test processes.

What you'll be doing as a Dynamic Systems Engineer:

  • Develop novel and improved methods for designing and manufacturing complex dynamic components and assemblies.
  • Create project charters, test plans, and manufacturing readiness level roadmaps for project execution.
  • Interface with program dynamic systems engineers, robotics and automation engineers, materials specialists, Bell technical fellows, and manufacturing centers of excellence.
  • Represent Bell in industry organizations, committees, and workshops/conferences.
  • Prepare and pitch technical proposals for IRAD and CRAD initiatives.
  • Define and justify capital equipment, facilities, raw materials, subcontracted services, and tooling requirements for project success.

Qualifications

Skills You Bring To this Role:

  • Understanding of AGMA standards, methods, and materials.
  • Experience with gear, gearbox, and/or metallic rotor component manufacturing equipment, tooling, processes, metrology, and nondestructive inspection, including defect analysis and material review.
  • Familiarity with metals, thermal treatments, and surface finishing.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with strong presentation, technical writing, and project management abilities.
  • Ability to manage projects within budget, schedule, and resource constraints.

What you need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • At least 10 years of experience with dynamic components (gear, gearbox, rotorcraft).
  • Direct experience in dynamic systems engineering design, analysis, and manufacturing methods.
  • Proficiency with modeling systems such as CATIA V5, V6, 3DX, or equivalent.

What we offer you in return:

  • Every other Friday off with our 9/80 work schedule.
  • 80 hours of Personal Time Off (PTO).
  • 120 hours of Vacation time.
  • 12-13 paid holidays per year.
  • Six weeks of parental leave.
  • Tuition reimbursement.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive health insurance.
  • On-site clinic, pharmacy, physical therapy, and counseling services.
  • Access to over 11 Employee Resource Groups and more.
