We’re looking for a Principal Document Controller to join our Pinjarra team.

As a Principal Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing the Document Control function on large/complex projects and portfolios, acting as the primary interface between project personnel and clients for document control issues. The role may also involve system specialization. Ensuring all project documentation is accurately logged, managed, and issued via the Electronic Document Management System, maintaining an accurate database of document revisions and associated metadata throughout the project lifecycle.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform complex work assignments with independent judgment, leading and supervising the Document Control team.
  • Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental performance, participating in hazard identification and risk assessments.
  • Set up and initiate new projects in line with Worley and client requirements.
  • Work autonomously, focusing on goals and results with excellent attention to detail.
  • Manage multiple projects of varying sizes and complexities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project teams, clients, and third parties.
  • Create and maintain project plans, procedures, and document matrices.
  • Manage work assignments, prioritize activities, and oversee team performance.
  • Train, supervise, and mentor team members, ensuring optimal utilization.
  • Coordinate staffing and resource planning in conjunction with functional management.
  • Resolve team issues and establish reporting requirements.
  • Support staffing development and training for team growth.
  • Participate in meetings and provide advice on efficient work practices.
  • Promote best practices within the team and facilitate training sessions.
What you’ll have
  • Recognized tertiary qualification in Information Management or Systems, or extensive relevant experience.
  • Experience in engineering/construction environments, managing document control on large projects, and supervising teams.
  • Proficiency with EDMS, document control processes, and tools, with troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong understanding of systems and processes to meet project requirements.
