Job description

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this is a hands‑on leadership position from our Irvine, CA office. As Principal/Director Product, you will drive end‑to‑end workflows and UX across provider portals, consumer flows, underwriting/KYC, funding, refunds, chargebacks, and EMR integrations. You will lead Product, Design, and Product Ops/Insights teams to ensure velocity, quality, and data‑driven decision‑making. Emphasizing curiosity in navigating product and user journeys, you will uncover insights to optimize processes, run rigorous experimentation, and translate strategy into prioritized roadmaps. Proficiency in tools like Looker, BigQuery, AI, Heap, and SQL will be key to supporting the Product and Development Organization with actionable data points.

Location: Hybrid Irvine CA

Job Type: Full‑time

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the measurement and reporting of product performance, including adoption, conversion, engagement, retention, and unit economics, while defining a comprehensive KPI tree (e.g., approval rate, funded volume, take rate, NPS/CES, conversion at each step, time‑to‑approve, support tickets per 1k apps, SLA).
  • Drive end‑to‑end workflows and UX for providers and patients, partnering with Product Managers to define KPIs, track post‑launch performance, and analyze funnel drop‑offs, approval rates, and utilization to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead PMs, Designers, UX Research, and Product Ops teams—initially hands‑on, then scaling the organization—for outcomes‑focused delivery.
  • Stand up a rigorous experimentation program (A/B tests, funnel analytics, pricing & terms tests, approvals mix) using tools like Mixpanel/Amplitude, GA4, Heap, Looker/Mode, LaunchDarkly/Stats, and AI‑driven insights.
  • Translate high‑level strategy into prioritized roadmaps; ship fast with Engineering through quarterly planning, weekly priorities, and incident‑to‑backlog feedback loops.
  • Build and maintain a design system and research cadence (weekly usability, quarterly discovery cycles) to ensure high‑polish, research‑backed experiences.
  • Act as the single‑threaded owner for cross‑functional delivery, owning requirements with Risk & Compliance (KYC/KYB, adverse action, ECOA, UDAAP‑safe UX language), and partnering with Operations, Data, FInance, Sales, Success, and Engineering.
  • Provide data‑driven recommendations to optimize user experiences, ensuring compliance‑safe UX while measuring impact on credit performance and business metrics.
Qualifications
  • 5‑10 years in product leadership, with 3–5 years leading PMs and Design teams in fintech/payments/lending, B2B2C checkout, or healthcare technology.
  • Proven track record scaling products from ~$50M to $200M+ GMV or $10M to $50M+ ARR; shipped high‑stakes flows like identity verification, credit decisions, and pricing.
  • Deep expertise in funnel optimization, experiment design, A/B testing, and statistical analysis.
  • Comfort with SQL, product analytics (Looker, BigQuery, Heap, AI/ML frameworks), and briefing Data Science teams.
  • Demonstrated design taste and research muscle; experience building or overhauling design systems and driving user research cadences.
  • Highly cross‑functional: Savvy in Finance/Consumer Lending, understands risk trade‑offs, and communicates effectively with Sales for enterprise practices.
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex data into clear insights; collaborative mindset with strong communication skills to influence senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science); Master’s degree a plus.
  • Stack exposure (nice to have): Amplitude/Mixpanel, Looker/Mode, LaunchDarkly/Optimizely, Figma, Jira/Linear; KYC/KYB vendors, EMR/RCM integrations.

The requirements listed are representative, but not all‑inclusive of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed to perform successfully in this position.
