Leidos is seeking a Principal Digital Forensics Examiner to support the DIA/NDOC mission at a customer site in Bethesda, MD. You will lead forensic activities, oversee examinations from preservation through reporting, and mentor staff within a high-security environment.

The role requires extensive experience in computer forensics, intelligence analysis, and program management, with TS/SCI clearance with poly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or STEM with 12 years of experience.
  • MS degree in Computer Science or STEM can substitute for 5 years of experience.
  • Industry standard forensics certifications (EnCE, ACE, CCE, GIAC).
  • Experience conducting Computer Forensics, DOMEX, and Intelligence Analysis.
  • Experience in Project Management and requirements documentation.
  • Experience in planning and forecasting resource needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong instructional and communications skills.
  • TS/SCI Clearance with poly.
  • Willingness to work in Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities

  • Define program goals with senior leadership and provide performance metrics.
  • Set expectations and drive forensic examiner work products.
  • Build and maintain qualified staff and surge capability.
  • Stay current with emerging capabilities and training plans for mission success.
  • Bridge non-technical management with technical forensics requirements.
  • Oversee forensic examinations and complex analyses including preservation, acquisition, processing, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with digital forensics standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide consultation, training, and mentorship throughout the forensics process.
  • Develop and present case notes and findings to government stakeholders.

Job Description

The Leidos Intelligence Sector is seeking a Principal Digital Forensics Examiner to support the DIA/NDOC mission. This position will be located at our customer site in Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities Include
  • Work with the NDOC Government Lead to create and maintain a detailed work plan to include specific tasks, assignments, task dependencies, milestones, and schedule for processing direct forensic and non-forensic data collections
  • Work with senior leadership to establish and implement program goals and provide key performance metrics to establish a strategic baseline
  • Establish clear expectations and goals to drive and evaluate forensic examiner work products
  • Build and maintain qualified, full-time staff and a pipeline or surge staff according to customer and mission priorities
  • Maintain awareness of emerging capabilities and technologies, and create relevant training plans to ensure continue mission accomplishment
  • Act as a bridge for the complex gap between the non-technical functions of management and the technical requirements of a computer forensics mission and its personnel
  • Oversee personnel performing forensic examinations and and complex analysis to include preservation, acquisition, processing, analysis, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with digital forensics standards, policies, and procedures
  • Provide consultation, training, assistance and mentorship throughout the digital forensics process
  • Identify techniques, processes, and procedures to enhance the growth and maturity of the NDOC forensics program
  • Develop and present oral and written communications to include clear and comprehensive case notes and findings and presentations to government stakeholders
Principal Digital Forensics Examiner Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or STEM discipline and 12 years of experience.
  • At least 10 years of related technical and project management experience (can substitute for 5 years’ experience with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science or STEM discipline)
  • Industry standard forensics certification (e.g., EnCE, ACE, CCE, GIAC)
  • Experience conducting Computer Forensics, DOMEX, and Intelligence Analysis
  • Experience in Project Management and requirements documentation
  • Experience in planning and forecasting resource needs?? This is a mistake, rewrite that line

Pay Range

Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
