Join to apply for the Principal Digital Electronics Design Engineer role at Job Juncture.

Job description: In this position, you will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams designing, developing, and verifying high-reliability digital electronics for various applications, including processor boards, FPGA and SoC boards, and memory applications such as DDR and high-speed I/O.

As a key member of the Harsh Environments Electronics Group, you will help shape digital hardware architectures and lead electronics development activities by applying sound engineering and project management principles.

Requirements include being self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical level with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience with radiation-hardened parts trade space
  • Schematic capture and board layout experience
  • Experience integrating and debugging embedded systems
  • Ability to perform circuit simulation using tools like HyperLynx or Ansys
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics PCB design flow
  • Experience with Xilinx or Microchip FPGA/SOC design flow
  • Experience designing for harsh environments per standards like RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD-810
Responsibilities:
  • Translate project requirements into hardware architectures

  • Solve issues, drive project completion, collaborate with teams
  • Build/test prototypes, debug, document for manufacturing
  • Research and develop innovative solutions
  • Engage with engineers and partners for reliable, cost-effective solutions
  • Drive solutions to complex problems, develop requirements, adapt to changes
  • Perform advanced architectures/designs for complex ASICs
  • Involve in business development and proposals
  • Manage technical risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Manage multidisciplinary tasks and communicate with leadership
  • Develop and teach best practices
Skills:

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's in Electronic or Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred

  • Hybrid remote/in-lab work, onsite as needed
