Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is seeking a Principal Digital Electrical Engineer to focus on communications products, primarily involving digital design of PCB from inception to layout and assembly. The ideal candidate demonstrates high integrity, adaptability, initiative, and logical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design digital circuit cards from inception through layout and assembly.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to meet design requirements.
• Work with ECAD designers to generate databases and drawings for PWB/CCAs.
• Perform design analyses (timing, power, signal integrity).
• Conduct verification and troubleshooting.
• Produce and present design documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience taking a design concept to CCA development.
• Expertise in PCB design process and tools.
• Proficient in design verification/analysis (timing, power, signal integrity).
• At least 5 years of experience developing digital/mixed-signal high-speed CCA.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens Xpedition tools.
• Knowledge of IPC standards, IEEE, MIL standards.
• Familiarity with Microsoft tools.
• Experience with analog and mixed-signal circuits.
