Job summary

Dell Technologies in Hopkinton, MA seeks a Software Principal Engineer for the Developer Experience team. You will lead DevOps tool administration, CI/CD automation, and AI-assisted enhancements to optimize pipelines and reliability.

You'll design and implement scalable infrastructure, security practices for secrets, and governance across the DevOps landscape while collaborating with internal and external partners. This is a high-impact, senior role.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required.
Deep expertise in GitHub Actions workflows and CI/CD architecture is preferred.
Experience with self-hosted runners, enterprise GitHub Server administration, and security/secret management is essential.

Responsibilities

Administer and be the SME for GitHub and other DevOps tools, including installation, integration, upgrades, and maintenance to ensure reliability and scalability.
Build and maintain secure, resilient infrastructure supporting CI/CD pipelines and automation platforms using GitHub Actions.
Enable centralized access, monitoring, and governance of DevOps tools enterprise-wide.
Continuously improve system performance, cost efficiency, and reliability through automation and proactive enhancements.
Drive innovation by incorporating AI-powered automation tools to enhance pipeline efficiency, incident response, and predictive analytics.
