Job summary

Envision Innovative Solutions, based in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, seeks a Principal DevOps Engineer to lead the design, automation, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, secure infrastructure for critical applications.

You will drive release pipelines, implement robust configuration management, and mentor Agile teams while leveraging tools like Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and AWS. This role is on-site in Maryland and requires TS-level security clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of DevOps, Systems Engineering, or related experience.
• Experience with Git and version control best practices, Linux (RHEL/CentOS), Docker & Kubernetes, Jenkins/Bamboo, AWS, and infrastructure automation (Ansible/Puppet/Chef).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, automation, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, secure infrastructure for mission-critical apps.
• Build release pipelines for fast, safe production delivery.
• Serve as technical lead for an Agile team and participate in all Agile ceremonies.
• Automate release deployments across dev/test/staging/production stacks.
• Set up new sites and apps via Puppet and Ansible; maintain Confluence/Jira docs.
• Architect and develop build tools (Gradle, Maven, Ant, Shell) and CI tools (Jenkins, Bamboo).
