Job summary

Guidacent, Inc. is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer in the Greater Seattle area, onsite in Bellevue. You will own the architecture of the CI/CD stack, the AI delivery platform, and the developer experience as a long‑term principal‑level charter.

You will define standards, pave roads, and mentor engineers while driving AI tooling adoption across teams. You will lead design of IaC practices, cloud deployments, and observability strategies, with a strong focus on cost‑aware AI usage and secure

Qualifications

• Must be located in Greater Seattle area and willing to work onsite.
• 8+ years in DevOps, platform or SRE with senior ownership.
• Experience architecting CI/CD and infrastructure platforms across multiple teams.
• Strong CI/CD tooling experience: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• IaC expertise with Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation and at least one major cloud.
• Hands‑on Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience defining observability and monitoring strategy (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Regular, hands‑on use of AI to improve DevOps workflows; daily AI coding tool use.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture for CI/CD, infrastructure, and the AI delivery platform.
• Improve developer experience as a long‑term principal‑level charter — treat DevEx as a product.
• Define reusable templates, golden paths, and standards to raise delivery quality.
• Lead AI tooling integration in daily workflows with cost‑aware token usage.
• Design CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, validation, and rollback.
• Establish IaC and GitOps across one or more clouds.
• Drive AI/AIops adoption for reviews, tests, automation, and remediation.
• Define observability strategy and apply AIops to set SLOs and MTTR.
• Embed security scanning and guardrails across the lifecycle.
• Mentor engineers and influence cross‑team technical decisions.
