Job summary

Job Summary

This Principal DevOps Engineer role provides mission‑critical system support to our customer. You will work closely with the development team and other stakeholders to maintain, develop, and support IC enterprise products—both legacy and new—in an Agile SAFe environment. The role will also collaborate with software engineering to deploy and operate systems, automate and streamline operations, build and maintain deployment, monitoring, and operations tools, and troubleshoot issues across dev, test, and production environments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supports software deployments, cloud infrastructure baselines, and operational availability of production systems.
• Manages, builds, configures, administers, operates, and maintains all components of the DevOps environment.
• Defines enterprise Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes and best practices.
• Codifies DevOps best practices across the enterprise.
• Develops and maintains scripts to automate tool deployment to an AWS cloud environment and other tasks.
• Scrips and maintains build environments.
• Works with project teams to integrate their products into the DevOps environment.

Basic Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience setting up GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and/or Katalon Studio.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting issues with at least two of GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and Katalon Studio.
• Experience working within a software development team and supporting developers.
• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant work experience or Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant work experience (additional experience may offset degree requirements).
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in science, technical, or engineering discipline.
• AWS Associate Certification (Developer, Solution Architect, or SysOps Administrator).
• AWS Professional Certification (DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect).
• Experience with container orchestration using Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS/ECR.
• Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, and Unix shell scripting.
• Experience with Ansible or Puppet.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $131,300.00 – $237,350.00. This range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Additional factors considered include job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
