This role offers autonomy and influence over architecture, focusing on building, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure, pipelines, and automation.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in C#, Python, and scripting with PowerShell or Bash.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• In-depth understanding of networking protocols and cloud security best practices.
• Experience managing high-availability, global, 24/7 applications.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and release automation with tools like Azure DevOps, CircleCI, or Octopus Deploy.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as New Relic, Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Experience in managing Linux and Windows environments.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, database management (PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack), and algorithms.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and mentorship skills.
• Self-motivated with minimal oversight and a strong owner mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the DevOps functions for the global, 24/7 Qubit Fulfillment Platform.
• Design, develop, and operate Azure infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and automation processes.
• Establish and enforce standards for infrastructure as code, environment provisioning, and release orchestration.
• Manage high-availability, fault-tolerant cloud environments and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with product teams to implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions.
• Lead incident management efforts, perform root cause analysis, and execute post-mortem reviews.
• Mentor engineering teams and develop DevOps best practices and standards across squads.
• Stay current with industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions to improve platform efficiency and security.

Summary

We are seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to lead the end-to-end DevOps function for a mission-critical, globally-operating warehouse automation platform supporting 24/7 operations.
