Job summary

Workday, Inc. is seeking a Principal DataOps Engineer (P5) to lead the data platform program execution and governance. You’ll define long-term standards, drive multi-quarter roadmaps, and ensure scalable data-as-a-product delivery across the enterprise.

You’ll shape DataOps, Data Product, and Active Data Governance frameworks, guiding AI-enabled workflows, integration with Sana/Gemini environments, and enterprise-wide automation at scale.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in DataevOps, DevOps, cloud automation, program management, or platform engineering in enterprise data & analytics.
• 12+ years scaling data platform products, cluster configurations, and CI/CD networks at enterprise level.
• Influence VP/SVP stakeholders to drive technical consensus and cross-functional pivots.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term vision and multi-quarter roadmaps for mission-critical data platform programs.
• Govern Infrastructure as Code, CICD pipelines, and platform administration standards.
• Lead multi-team transformations and data-as-a-product delivery at scale.
• Embed DataOps, Data Product, and Active Data Governance in delivery pipelines.
• Build AI-first workflows and agent networks to automate code refactoring and validation.
• Drive reliable, high-velocity delivery while managing technical debt.
