Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Principal Scientist, Data Science to define and drive an end-to-end imaging data platform supporting clinical trials. You will lead cross-functional teams spanning data science, engineering, clinical, and external partners to scale data products and ensure compliant data handling.

The role requires a strong background in medical imaging, AI/ML, and DICOM/PACS, with a track record of delivering scalable data solutions for regenerative and translational research.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; PhD or equivalent preferred.
• Advanced degree in Imaging Health Sciences or related field.
• Background in Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Interventional Medicine, Medical Physics, or similar.
• 10+ years of experience in medical imaging and multi-modal data environments.
• Experience building/scaling data products or data platforms.
• Leadership in cross-functional and vendor collaborations.
• Hands-on imaging data standards (e.g., DICOM), PACS, and multi-modal data pipelines.
• Familiarity with advanced analytics and AI/ML (e.g., computer vision).

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end vision for imaging data products (ingestion, curation, integration, consumption).
• Lead development and scaling of imaging data products for clinical trials and therapeutic needs.
• Promote FAIR data principles and ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and ethical standards.
• Partner with therapeutic and disease area teams to translate business needs into scalable data product solutions.
• Lead cross-functional execution across data science, engineering, clinical, and external partners (CROs/vendors).
• Modernize imaging pipelines, platforms, and workflows to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
• Support growth of imaging-focused data capabilities aligned to clinical development priorities.
