Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a Principal Scientist, Data Science to define and lead end-to-end imaging data product initiatives across ingestion, curation, and deployment. You will drive cross-functional work with data science, engineering, clinical, and CROs/vendors to deliver scalable, compliant solutions.

The role emphasizes translating complex imaging data into clinical value and advancing multi-modal pipelines to support clinical development priorities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; PhD or equivalent preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in medical imaging and multi-modal data environments.
• Experience building or scaling data products or data platforms.
• Hands-on experience with imaging data standards (DICOM) and PACS.

Responsibilities

• Define an end-to-end vision for medical imaging data products (ingestion, curation, integration, consumption).
• Lead development and scaling of imaging data products aligned to clinical trial and therapeutic needs.
• Promote FAIR data principles and ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and ethical standards.
• Partner with therapeutic/disease teams to translate business needs into scalable data product solutions.
• Lead cross-functional execution across data science, engineering, clinical, and CROs/vendors.
• Modernize imaging pipelines, platforms, and workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Expand the imaging-focused data product portfolio aligned to clinical development priorities.
