Job Summary

Responsible for leading data science projects, managing and mentoring a team, and aligning data initiatives with business goals. Develop and implement data models, collaborate with cross-functional teams, stay updated on industry trends, ensure ethical data use, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Lead model governance and operations to meet regulatory and security standards. This role requires technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership to foster data-driven decision-making and pioneer generative AI healthcare solutions that aim to transform healthcare operations and improve member experience.

Job Duties

• Research and Development: Stay current with advancements in AI and machine learning; apply insights to improve models and develop new methodologies.
• AI Model Deployment, Monitoring & Governance: Deploy models into production, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with governance and regulatory standards.
• Innovation Projects: Lead pilot projects testing new AI technologies.
• Data Analysis and Interpretation: Extract insights from complex datasets to inform strategic decisions.
• Machine Learning Model Development: Design, develop, and train models using various algorithms and techniques.
• Agentic Workflows Implementation: Develop workflows utilizing AI agents for autonomous tasks.
• RAG Pattern Utilization: Use retrieval-augmented generation techniques to enhance language models.
• Model Fine-Tuning: Adapt pre-trained models to specific tasks for optimal performance.
• Data Cleaning and Preprocessing: Prepare data for analysis ensuring high quality inputs.
• Collaboration: Work with software engineers, product managers, and analysts to integrate AI solutions.
• Documentation and Reporting: Document models and methodologies; communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Mentorship: Guide and support less experienced data scientists.
• Business Partnership: Collaborate with business teams to improve metrics like Star ratings and care gaps.
• Presentation: Convey complex analytical insights clearly across all levels.
• Additional duties as required, including exploring new data solutions and technology opportunities.

Job Qualifications

Required Education: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field

Experience, Skills & Abilities:

• 10+ years in data science, preferably in healthcare but open to other industries.
• Knowledge of big data tech (Hadoop, Spark), relational databases, and SDLC.
• Strong programming skills in Python and R; experience with TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch.
• Proficiency in statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and model fine-tuning.
• Experience with agentic workflows, RAG techniques, data visualization tools, and database management.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Education

PHD or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience

• Experience with cloud platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure AI Studio).
• Knowledge of NLP and computer vision techniques.
