Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking an experienced principal software engineer to elevate Town Lake's data infrastructure to foundational status across the company. You will lead architectural decisions, drive implementation for critical data services, and guide data governance and AI-driven classification initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience focused on data infrastructure and scaling.
• Strong ability to drive cross-functional initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with modern data stacks (Trino, Iceberg, Kafka, ClickHouse).
• Backend languages: Go, Python, TypeScript, Rust; SQL proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Define, design and execute strategic architecture for critical data infrastructure.
• Lead design and development of data pipelines and data products for internal customers.
