Job summary

Group One Trading is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to own the architecture and direction of the data platform supporting trading analysis and decision-making.

The role partners with traders, risk, finance, and technology leadership to design a scalable, reliable platform, evaluating Snowflake, Databricks, and related technologies, with a focus on modern data architectures and governance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing production data platforms.
• Migration experience from legacy architectures.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, hands-on.
• Familiar with MSSQL, SSIS/SSAS/SSRS, Power BI.
• Ability to lead engineering standards and migrations.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and technical direction of data platform.
• Define migration strategy and target platform.
• Lead and mentor data engineers and establish standards.
