NetApp is leading the way in intelligent data infrastructure and object storage. As a Principal Engineer for Datapath / Performance, you will own the StorageGRID S3 data path and set the architectural north star for data movement, metadata handling, and high-scale operations.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in systems, storage, distributed systems, or performance engineering.
• Built or owned an object storage system or large-scale distributed storage product.
• Experience with distributed databases at scale and debugging complex data paths.
• Ability to influence technical direction without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and technical implementation of the StorageGRID S3 data path end-to-end.
• Lead performance analysis, benchmarking and drive improvements at scale.
• Design for geo-distribution, multi-site replication, and exabyte-scale storage.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentor engineers on data path internals.
