About the Role
We are looking for a Principal Data Integration Architect to lead the architecture, design, and operation of the APIs and data pipelines that power our integrations with third-party platforms. You will play a critical role in ensuring our products remain in sync in real time
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines deep data engineering expertise with systems integration strategy. You’ll be responsible for building scalable, event-driven architectures capable of handling thousands of daily transactions and millions of discrete data elements across platforms.
What You'll Do
Own the end-to-end architecture for data integration between our and external systems, particularly Pharmacy Management Systems (PMS).
Design and maintain scalable APIs and data pipelines for real-time synchronization.
Develop and support traditional ETL processes as well as event-driven architectures (e.g., webhook-based workflows, change data capture, message queues).
Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure data flow reliability and traceability.
Work closely with product, engineering, and external partners to define integration requirements and deliver robust solutions.
Ensure the security, performance, and compliance of data integrations at scale.
What We're Looking For
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
8–10+ years of professional software engineering experience
6+ years of experience designing and operating data integration systems, including APIs, ETL pipelines, and real-time data flows.
Proven experience with high-throughput, distributed systems capable of processing millions of data points and thousands of transactions per day.
Strong understanding of event-based architectures, messaging systems (e.g., Kafka), and data synchronization techniques.
Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and working with integration frameworks.
Experience with real-time monitoring, alerting, and system observability best practices.
Preferred:
Prior experience in healthcare or pharmacy domains
Experience leading engineering projects
Familiarity with our stack:
Microservices in GCP using NestJS, TypeORM, TypeScript
React Native (web and mobile with Expo)
