Job summary

Precision is a data-driven strategy and marketing agency seeking a Principal for the Data & Analytics team in New York, NY or Washington, DC. You will lead social listening, digital intelligence, and research programs to shape communications strategies for high-profile clients.

You will oversee cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to new business opportunities, while advancing GEO-enabled insights and AI-driven discovery to improve client reputations and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 6+ years of experience in social listening, digital intelligence, market research, polling, qualitative research, reputation monitoring, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with social and digital listening platforms and ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and managing multiple client workstreams.
• Familiarity with GEO and AI-driven discovery environments and their impact on client visibility.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day client workstreams across analysis, monitoring, intelligence, and insights engagements.
• Serve as client contact, communicate clearly, anticipate needs, and escalate complex challenges with context.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data outputs into campaigns.
• Synthesize monitoring data into clear insights to inform client strategy and activations.
• Oversee primary research from fielding to analysis and reporting with quality control.
• Support pitches and new business by contributing research and data-driven narratives.
