Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Principal Data Analyst to leverage analytics, data pipelines, and visualization skills to tackle business problems. The role focuses on innovation, BI, and data management across diverse data sources and platforms.

Ideal candidates have strong scripting in Python/R/Spark/SQL, experience with data warehouses and AWS, and a record of building well-governed data solutions within financial services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 5+ years of experience in data analytics, or Master’s Degree plus at least 3 years in data analytics, or PhD
• At least 3 years of experience in at least one scripting language
• At least 1 year of experience utilizing a business intelligence visualization tool
• At least 3 years of experience in querying and analyzing and working with data languages and platforms

Responsibilities

• Mine and integrate data from diverse sources and platforms
• Design, develop, and deliver dashboards and insights for business users
• Ensure data quality management including metadata, lineage, and definitions
• Collaborate with Tech teams on security and data access governance
