Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Principal Data Analyst to leverage analytics and technical skills to deliver well‑managed data solutions and capabilities. You will work across Innovation, BI and Data Management to mine data, develop dashboards, and enforce data governance.

The role requires programming in Python/R/Spark/SQL, experience with AWS, and a background in quantitative disciplines. This is a full‑time, on‑site opportunity with a strong focus on data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field plus at least 5 years of data analytics experience, or Master’s degree plus at least 3 years
• At least 3 years of experience with at least one scripting language
• At least 3 years of experience using a business intelligence visualization tool
• At least 3 years of experience querying, analyzing and working with data languages and platforms

Responsibilities

• Mine complex, voluminous data sources and build data solutions to enable self-service analytics
• Partner with the business to design dashboards, metrics and insights for data visualization
• Drive data quality, governance, metadata and security with cross‑functional teams
