Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Principal Data Analyst for the Card Data Management team. You will transform business questions into data-driven solutions, lead BI initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver dashboards and insights.

You will work in a hybrid environment, applying AWS data services, scripting skills, and data governance practices to support automation and data quality. This role offers growth and work-life balance in a Fortune 200 company.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field plus 5+ years data analytics experience or Master’s degree plus 3+ years data analytics
At least 3 years scripting experience in Python, R, Spark, or SQL
At least 3 years experience with business intelligence/visualization tools
At least 3 years experience querying and analyzing data languages and platforms

Responsibilities

Mine complex data sources and build data solutions to enable self-service analytics
Partner with business to design metrics, dashboards, and insights
Drive data quality governance, metadata and lineage initiatives
Support AI/LLM automation initiatives to improve data validation and processes
