Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer – Cybersecurity in Richardson, TX, to join the Product Cybersecurity Engineering team onsite. You will implement security improvements, support RMF documentation, and drive ATO decisions across DoD programs.

The role requires active DoD Top Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and extensive experience with security controls, embedded systems, and hardware/software security. Relocation is available.

Qualifications

• Active and transferable DoD TOP SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with RMF/ NIST 800-53 and 800-37 controls and accreditation processes.

Responsibilities

• Implement security improvements by assessing customer requirements and environment; develop architecture artifacts, plans, and policies.
• Support RMF assessment documentation and conduct controls validation testing for ATO.
• Analyze cybersecurity data and test results to improve the product security posture.
• Conduct cybersecurity audits and evaluations to ensure continuous compliance of the system.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to minimize cybersecurity threats in deployments.
