Job summary

Fleet Data Centers seeks a Cost Management Principal to lead program-level cost management for mega-scale data center projects. You will oversee cost planning, control, risk mitigation, and negotiations across RFx activities.

You will collaborate with Contracts Management and field teams to drive accurate estimates, scheduling, and cost-informed decisions. This hybrid role offers travel and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Management, or engineering.
• 5+ years as a Quantity Surveying SME in construction or procurement.
• 3+ years supporting hyperscaler or data center organizations.
• 3+ years of commercial contract negotiation experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of supply chain management, data analytics, and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFx processes including bid leveling and commercial negotiations.
• Negotiate Lump Sum, GMP, and NTE agreements.
• Support financial planning and procurement activities.
• Monitor project finances, payments, variations, and claims.
• Develop, review, and present project cost estimates and cost plans.
• Drive cost control, change management, contingency tracking, and forecasting.
• Coordinate with contractors and owners to maintain accurate cost information.
• Determine quantities for large-scale data center projects.
• Assess labor and specialized installation requirements.
• Provide accurate cost and quantity information to support project decisions.
• Help maintain project schedule and budget compliance.
