Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Principal Control Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership for the design, implementation, integration, and verification of complex industrial control systems on global projects. This role requires 10+ years of hands-on experience, ownership of system-level outcomes, and collaboration with software, hardware, cybersecurity, quality, and field teams.

The position is hybrid and based in Cranberry, PA.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical/computer/mechanical/nuclear/controls) or related field.
10+ years of progressive experience in industrial control systems engineering.
Proven technical leadership on complex control system projects.
Experience with PLC/SCADA/DCS platforms and systems integration.
Experience leading verification, validation, and safety-conscious environments.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture, design, implementation, integration and verification of complex control system solutions.
Define technical architecture and integration strategies for controllers, networks, and interfaces.
Lead development and technical review of engineering docs, specs, calculations and designs.
Establish testing strategies including factory acceptance testing and system-level testing.
Mentor engineers and promote standardization and continuous improvement in controls.
