This position involves supporting the NGA in developing and implementing procurement policies and ensuring effective and responsible contracting.

Work Location: Onsite at the NGA facility in Springfield, VA

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement NGA acquisition policies utilizing Department of Defense (DoD) contracting authority.
2. Support effective and responsible contracting by providing cradle-to-grave contracting support to NGA stakeholders and administrative services, including management information.
3. Serve as acquisition business advisors to senior leadership, contracting officers/specialists, program managers, and other stakeholders.
4. Create efficient acquisition strategies in partnership with NGA offices.
5. Train, mentor, and coach in Contracting and Acquisition policy.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience as a Contract Specialist or Contract Officer, including 4 years in policy.
• Expertise in all facets of the acquisition process, including sole source, competitive procurements, acquisition planning, agile policies, cost/price analysis, and contract management.
• Ability to handle strategic issues, negotiate, analyze cost data, and develop negotiation strategies.
• Experience in major system acquisition, service contracting, R&D, federal supply schedules, OTAs, Grants.
• Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• Knowledge of FAR and DFARS.
• Proficiency with contract writing & administration tools.
• DAWIA II and/or FAC-C II certification; FAR Part 15 experience.
• Strong communication skills, business acumen, and leadership qualities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience within the Intelligence Community.
• Proficiency in PRISM and data management via network drives.
• DAWIA III and/or FAC-C III certification.
• Master's degree in relevant fields.
