The Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks engineers to join the Los Angeles Class Instrumentation and Control group. You will gain experience testing, fleet support, and developing systems knowledge to support current fleet platforms, including the S6G Moored Training Ships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a related technical, engineering or science field with minimum 9 years experience; or Master’s with 7 years; or Doctorate with 3 years; or currently a Principal Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Qualification as an I&C systems engineer and understanding of system operation.
• Resolution of operating fleet and shipyard issues.
• Documentation of technical recommendations in formal correspondence.
• Writing and verifying reactor plant procedures.
• Leading efforts to reduce routine maintenance burden.
• Work on data analytics of fleet data.
• Lead innovation initiatives to improve I&C for S6G project and power plant community.

Fleet Power Plant Engineering is seeking engineers to join the Los Angeles Class Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems group. This position offers experience in testing, fleet support, and development of systems and operations knowledge to support current Los Angeles Class fleet platforms, including the S6G Moored Training Ships. • Qualification as an I&C systems engineer - developing a deep understanding of expected system operation
• Resolution of operating fleet and shipyard technical issues
• Documentation of technical recommendations in formal correspondence
• Writing and verifying reactor plant procedures
• Leading efforts to identify areas where the Navy can reduce the burden of routine maintenance
• Work on data analytics of fleet data
• Lead innovation initiatives that help to improve reactor I&C for the S6G project and the rest of the power plant electrical community

Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill

Pay Range

$117,900.00 - $184,300.00 annually

Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
