Job Description:

HPE Aruba Networking is the enterprise Edge division of HPE, combining the agility of a startup with the resources of a large company. We are at a pivotal point of growth and innovation, offering you the chance to lead change and impact the industry.

The Competitive Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) plays a key role within the Go-To-Market/Business Operations team, providing competitive analysis, intelligence, and comparisons of HPE Aruba Networking with industry vendors. TMEs collaborate extensively with Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to deliver technical competitive content, presentations, and analysis.

The successful candidate will communicate HPE Aruba Networking's differentiators effectively, focusing on customer use cases and capturing valuable product feedback.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with technical experts on various HPE Aruba Networking products, including data center and L2/L3 switching protocols (STP, QoS, BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, etc.) and networking services.
• Develop and compare network topologies and solutions in lab environments.
• Present competitive sessions at events and webinars for field, partner, and R&D engineers.
• Create technical collateral, including testing reports, competitive analysis documents, sales materials, and updates.
• Manage and maintain lab equipment and inventory.

Required Skills:

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; relevant experience can substitute.
• 10+ years of experience in networking.
• Deep understanding of protocols like MP-BGP, BGP, IS-IS, EVPN, VxLAN, OSPF, Multicast, MPLS, VLANs, IPv4, IPv6.
• Strong knowledge of Data Center technologies and architectures.
• Excellent communication skills and public speaking experience.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

Preferred Skills:

• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or HPE ANW Certified Expert.
• Knowledge of multiple network operating systems (Cisco, Juniper, Arista).
• Experience with traffic generation tools like Ixia.
• Lab management experience with console servers, VM infrastructure, storage arrays, and hypervisors.

Additional Skills:

Cloud architectures, cross-domain knowledge, design thinking, development fundamentals, DevOps, distributed computing, microservices, security mindset, UX.
