Heartline Staffing in Houston is seeking a Principal Compensation Consultant to lead large-scale engagements, advise senior executives, and shape market-competitive pay strategies for global clients.

You will manage complex projects, coach junior team members, and help drive new business while delivering high-quality client deliverables in a hybrid, in-office or client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, HR, finance or related field.
• 8+ years of compensation consulting experience with SME/client engagements.
• Proven experience managing multiple large-scale compensation projects.
• Deep knowledge of compensation strategy, pay structures and market competitiveness.
• Experience with incentive plan design and analysis.
• Familiarity with compensation tech and market methodologies.
• Strong regulatory compliance knowledge in compensation.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex compensation consulting projects from assessment to delivery.
• Structure, direct, and review analyses by project teams.
• Develop compensation strategies and programs to attract and retain talent.
• Advise executives on strategy, pay structures and competitiveness.
• Lead job architecture design and tech-enabled implementations.
• Design and evaluate incentive compensation programs.
• Apply market analysis methodologies and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage day-to-day client relationships and act as trusted advisor.
• Coach and oversee junior consultants; ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Support business development through client relationships and cross-selling.
