Job summary

Zscaler is seeking a Principal System and Solution Test Engineer for a hybrid role in Santa Clara, CA. You will drive quality strategy for Zero Trust Networking Services and validate end-to-end interactions between branch devices and cloud services.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in Network Security/SD-WAN testing, Python expertise, and experience building test automation using Terraform or CloudFormation, plus deep L2-L7 networking knowledge and cloud familiarity (AWS/GCP).

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Network Security, SD-WAN, or Networking Infrastructure testing.
• Proficiency in Python for tool development.
• Experience building and maintaining Test Automation Frameworks using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Deep understanding of L2-L7 networking, TCP/IP stack internals, and performance testing with traffic generators.
• Strong exposure to SD-WAN technologies, VPNs, and Cloud Security architectures with Linux networking concepts.
• Knowledge of modern tunneling methods like IPSEC or GRE and Public Cloud networking (AWS or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain cloud-based software solutions.
• Leverage deep expertise in L2-L7 technology to test cloud-delivered security and SD-WAN technologies.
• Build repeatable, robust system-level automation suites to validate L2-L7 technologies.
• Provide insights to enhance debugging capabilities and overall product usability.
• Design and execute scenarios mimicking real-world production environments to expose gaps and ensure stable deployments.
