Job summary

Healing Strides Counseling seeks a Principal Engineer to join a team building our SaaS Inline Security product. You will leverage Java backend and Python scripting to deploy and scale cloud security solutions with real-time visibility for SaaS apps.

You will work closely with product, DevOps, and QA to ensure secure, scalable releases, and communicate effectively with stakeholders while optimizing time-to-release and performance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Java software engineer in distributed/cloud-based product.
• Proficiency with Python scripting.
• Knowledge of encryption libraries and FIPS-enabled OSs/Libraries.
• Understanding of FedRAMP, SOC2, NIST and CSA or similar security frameworks.
• Cloud experience (AWS, Google Cloud) and Kubernetes, Docker.
• DevOps environment with ownership of tests.
• CI/CD pipeline experience is a must.
• Proficiency with REST frameworks such as Spring, Kafka, Reactive.
• Knowledge of OS libraries and resolving build/installation dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Execute on the software development strategy to improve a dynamic, highly distributed system.
• Understand and implement lifecycle concepts to drive features from conception to delivery.
• Collaborate with product management, DevOps, and QA to achieve quality releases.
• Work with support, docs, and downstream teams to enable customer success.
• Make trade-offs to optimize time-to-release while maintaining performance and scalability.
• Communicate goals and outcomes clearly to internal project teams.
