Job summary

Findhelp is seeking a Senior Staff Security Engineer to lead our security strategy for a fast‑paced SaaS platform based in Austin, TX. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with Compliance, and safeguard highly sensitive health data while shaping the security roadmap and influencing decisions across the organization.

In this hands‑on leadership role, you’ll implement new log sources into our SIEM, define standards, lead strategic initiatives, evaluate emerging technologies, and advocate best

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and integrating security controls into SaaS cloud platforms.
• Experience with system and network exploitation methods, attack pathologies, and intrusion techniques.
• Knowledge of computer forensic tools, technologies and methods.
• Direct experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, and firewalls (particularly related to bot traffic).
• Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies and methods.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Nice-to-have: Proficient in using generative AI tools (Gemini) to summarize information, draft communications, and enhance research efficiency
• Nice-to-have: GCP and Crowdstrike experience

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining the organization’s security architecture, including hands‑on work such as implementing new log sources into our SIEM.
• Leading strategic security initiatives and projects from inception to completion.
• Researching and evaluating emerging security technologies and threats to inform our security roadmap.
• Defining and advocating for security standards and best practices across engineering and product teams.
• Representing the security team in critical cross‑functional projects, providing security guidance and expertise.
• Performing forensics and other security incident response activities.
• Ensuring permissions and configuration within various components of our system are properly monitored and adhere to the principle of least‑privilege.
