Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Architect to lead architecture platforms using modern cloud-based technologies and guide risk mitigation across the organization. You will drive multi-year roadmaps, develop secure coding frameworks, and mentor junior architects within the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group.

The role requires deep knowledge of data security, cryptography, cloud-native practices, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in software and security engineering and architecture roles.
• Hands-on practical experience in cybersecurity architecture across businesses, functions, and systems.
• Fluent in one or more programming languages.
• Deep knowledge of software or applications and cybersecurity architecture.
• Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity architecture, cloud, AI/ML, or related disciplines.
• Ability to present and communicate with senior leaders and executives.
• Understanding of risk trends in internal and external environments.
• Practical cloud-native experience.
• Strong understanding of cryptography, key management, encryption, and tokenization.
• Deep knowledge of data security practices and capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Advises cross-functional teams on technology selections to achieve target cybersecurity state.
• Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy.
• Creates scalable coding frameworks on the public cloud for new system designs.
• Develops secure production code and reviews others' code.
• Serves as a go-to subject matter expert and drives thought leadership.
• Contributes to development of cybersecurity methods aligned with product methodologies.
• Creates reusable software frameworks to improve velocity and quality across teams.
• Mentors junior architects and engineers to grow cybersecurity expertise.
• Drives architecture processes across engineering teams.
• Advises customers of product portfolio in Data Security domain.
