Job summary

Oracle’s OCI Robotics Cloud team is building cloud-native services to onboard, manage, monitor, and operate heterogeneous robot fleets at scale. The platform supports robot registration, identity management, mission orchestration, fleet management, telemetry, digital twins, and software lifecycle management.

We’re pursuing AI-driven, spec-based onboarding with SDKs, service contracts, and adapters to integrate robots from multiple vendors quickly and securely.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of software development experience building backend services or cloud platforms.
• Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C++.
• Experience building REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud-native technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and container orchestration.
• Experience developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable production software.
• Strong software design, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate cloud-native services for robot registration, identity management, mission orchestration, fleet management, telemetry, digital twins, and software lifecycle management.
• Build scalable backend services using modern distributed systems and microservice architectures.
• Design secure APIs, service contracts, SDKs, and edge interfaces for seamless robot integration from multiple vendors.
• Develop AI-assisted, spec-driven robot onboarding capabilities and adapters.
• Build reusable edge service frameworks that simplify robot integration while maintaining consistent cloud interfaces.
• Collaborate across robotics, AI, cloud infrastructure, and product teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud robotics services.
• Improve reliability, scalability, observability, security, and performance of distributed cloud services.
• Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, code reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Apply software engineering best practices to deliver high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code.
