Job summary

Oracle's OCI Robotics Cloud seeks a Director to define the long-term platform architecture and lead AI-driven engineering efforts for a greenfield cloud platform. You will establish APIs, SDKs, and edge frameworks to onboard diverse robots and drive developer productivity.

You will recruit and mentor a world-class cloud engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, ownership, and customer focus while coordinating with OCI AI, Cloud Infrastructure, Security, and Developer Services to scale

Qualifications

BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
12+ years building distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise software platforms.
5+ years of engineering management leading multiple software teams.
Proven experience delivering large-scale cloud platforms end-to-end.
Strong background in distributed systems, Kubernetes, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
Demonstrated success hiring and scaling engineering organizations.

Responsibilities

Define the long-term architecture and technical vision for OCI Robotics Cloud.
Build the cloud platform enabling robot registration, identity, fleet management, and telemetry.
Establish APIs, service contracts, SDKs, and edge service frameworks for multi-vendor robots.
Lead AI-driven, spec-driven onboarding where AI generates contracts, SDKs, and guidance.
Drive adoption of AI across the software lifecycle to improve productivity and quality.
Recruit, mentor, and grow a world-class cloud engineering organization.
Build a culture of engineering excellence, ownership, customer obsession, and continuous innovation.
Direct engineering execution across planning, delivery, reliability, security, and observability.
