PrismHR is seeking a Principal Cloud/Network Infrastructure Engineer to join their dynamic team. The Principal Cloud/Network Infrastructure Engineer is a key part of the engine that drives success. You will join a team on a quest to shape the future of PrismHR by solving thought-provoking problems and using transformational technologies as we work toward building a state-of-the-art PaaS infrastructure in the cloud. Responsibilities:
Design and implement innovative cloud solutions with a strong focus on IaC (Infrastructure as Code).
Define standards and principles of Azure Cloud Infrastructure and Networking.
Works in tandem with a team of architects and engineers to create Azure reference architectures.
Design and configurenext-gen firewalls and load balancing services (Azure firewall, Elastic load balancers, App Gateways, NAT Gateways, F5 BIP-IP). Provides escalation-level support for network security issues.
Install, configure, automate, and monitor IaaS and PaaS in Azure and AWS cloud.
Collaborate with others to brainstorm the best ways to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem.
Identify, diagnose, and resolve full application stack problems, end-to-end, including network connectivity, traffic utilization, authentication, ssl, performance tuning, and more.
Standard system administration duties on Linux and Windows, including server install, system/application install, patch management, log analysis, and customer account setup.
Documents processes, platforms, and traffic flows, including high- and low-level designs.
Evaluate new cloud-related technologies and perform proof of concepts.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to peers, partnering teams, and stakeholders in solving complex technical problems.
Provide state-of-the-art technical solutions for scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
Participate in after-hours upgrades, maintenance troubleshooting, and on-call availability as needed.
Function as a team lead and be able to mentor and train teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master and/or 10+ years of relevant expertise.
7-10 years of proven experience in public cloud and networking.
Hand-on expertise designing hosting solutions in public cloud IaaS and PaaS platforms using Azure Core Platform (Compute, Storage, Networking, Azure Services, EntraID, Azure B2C, Azure Automation, Azure Monitor, AKS, APIM).
Hands-on experience with AWS Services like (EC2, VPC, S3, ELB, RDS, Route53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Network Firewall, Elastic Load Balancers, and more.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration: Docker, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, Azure Kubernetes Service.
Experience with automation and IaC tools and languages (Puppet, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform, PowerShell, Python).
Adept in troubleshooting application configurations and diagnosing operational issues.
Familiarity with unified hub-and-spoke architecture for large-scale branch connectivity.
Experience in scalable networking design, including high availability, redundancy, failover, and load balancing.
Experience with Microsoft Azure networking and any industry-standard WAF
Demonstrated excellence in common Network Infrastructure and topology, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Network Monitoring tools,
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to L3/L2 deployment, L7 firewalls, and TCP stack.
Familiarity with Security Event Incident Management, Log Correlation, and Network Behavior Anomaly detection,
Deeply knowledgeable with at least one enterprise network security platform (Palo Alto Networks, F5, Barracuda, Check Point, et al.)
Dedication and willingness to work alternative schedules when necessary.
Azure and/or AWS certifications preferred
