Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeks a Principal Software Engineer Lead to architect and scale ARM64 compute platform functionality and hypervisor layers across ACC.

You will design, implement, review, and test high-quality code while guiding hardware-enablement and cross-platform pipelines. You will collaborate with global teams to deliver new compute features, optimize workload performance, and provide leadership to engineers, leveraging your deep CPU architecture expertise and multi-architecture

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience with a CS degree or equivalent.
• Deep familiarity with ARM64/AArch64 and x86_64 server platforms.
• Proven ability to mentor and grow engineering teams.
• Experience with cross-compilation toolchains and profiling.
• Hands-on with cloud compute virtualization (KVM/QEMU) and containers.
• Knowledge of Linux system APIs and hypervisor integration.
• Strength in technical design, reviews, and backlog planning.
