Job Description: Reports To: Vice President of Cloud Platform & Architecture

Summary: As the Principal AI Architect, you will be a key strategic player in transforming Vertex’s AI capabilities, leading architecture, design, and integration of AI-driven technologies. You will oversee cross-functional teams to develop advanced AI solutions focusing on AI agents, cloud infrastructure, semantic search, and multi-cloud integrations.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead development and integration of AI Agents and Semantic Kernel to automate and enhance Vertex’s Cloud Platform.
• Design and implement AI-powered search features to improve data discoverability and relevance.
• Develop cross-cloud collaboration protocols for seamless AI agent interaction across AWS and Azure.
• Optimize AOAI deployment models for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Manage hybrid database servers for centralized management of SQL and NoSQL environments.
• Design and implement strategies for Snowflake and similar data warehousing technologies.
• Lead automation of workflows via APIs and conversational agents.
• Ensure security of AI models and infrastructure, maintaining compliance and data security standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead a team of diverse AI developers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Extensive experience with Azure and AWS, cloud migration, AI/ML, security architectures, databases, DevOps, containers, and leadership skills.

Qualifications: 15+ years in software engineering, 10+ years in cloud computing, cloud certifications, and a degree in a related field.

Other Qualifications: Strong communication, decision-making, and leadership skills aligned with Vertex’s core behaviors.
