Job summary

Unum, a Fortune 500 company, seeks a Principal Cloud Engineer to shape enterprise cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, and Terraform. You will drive cloud transformation, define roadmaps, and lead security, automation, and cost efficiency efforts.

You will mentor engineers, guide landing zones, IAM, networking, and observability while championing CI/CD and FinOps in a campus-based, largely onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years in cloud environments.
• Hands-on design and operation of cloud environments on AWS/Azure.
• Industry certifications (AWS/Azure/Terraform) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Defines and owns enterprise cloud architecture across AWS and Azure.
• Translates cloud adoption vision into executable roadmaps.
• Leads large-scale cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Provides architectural direction to IT and business partners.
• Mentors engineers and fosters innovation and continuous improvement.
• Champions Terraform, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and FinOps practices.
