Job summary

Sentio Recruitment LLC is seeking a Principal Cloud Architect for a US fintech scale-up in New York, NY. You will define the target AWS landing zone, lead the migration, and set security, reliability, and cost governance standards across engineering teams.

You will partner with the CTO and CISO on architecture decisions that shape the platform for years, bringing 10+ years of AWS cloud experience and deep Terraform/IaC expertise to the role.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing and running large-scale cloud environments on AWS (multi-account, multi-region).
• Deep experience with Terraform, IaC governance, service catalogs and platform engineering patterns.
• Strong grounding in cloud security, IAM, KMS, VPC design and controls for regulated environments (SOC 2, PCI, SOX).

Responsibilities

• Define the target AWS landing zone, network and security architecture across all environments.
• Lead the migration and modernisation program end-to-end alongside platform and SRE teams.
• Set cloud engineering standards, guardrails and cost governance patterns.
• Advise the CTO and CISO on architecture, resilience and risk.

They need a Principal Cloud Architect to define the target state, lead the migration and set the standards for security, reliability and cost governance across engineering.
