The Principal Clinician Recruiter is responsible for full lifecycle recruiting for Physician, Physician Leadership, Advanced Practice Clinicians, and senior roles. This role involves working with Optum Leadership and People Team leaders on job scoping, pipeline strategy, and market alignment to support business and patient needs. The recruiter will develop strong relationships with leaders, acting as a trusted talent acquisition partner.

Our Principal Clinician Recruiters are Talent Advisors leading the end-to-end recruitment process, including talent sourcing, screening, consulting with Hiring Managers, candidate assessment, pipeline development, and managing offers and hires.

If you reside in Oregon (preferably Portland, Eugene, or Corvallis), you can work remotely and take on challenging roles.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle for clinical and leadership roles.
2. Provide excellent candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the process.
3. Oversee onboarding processes.
4. Partner with Clinical Leadership and People Team to plan clinical talent strategies.
5. Contribute to business strategy related to clinical talent.
6. Advise on compensation and market variables for clinical roles.
7. Influence leadership to adopt innovative ideas and approaches.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of recruiting experience for clinical roles or leadership.
• Knowledge of employment laws (OFCCP, EEO, AAP, etc.).
• Advanced sourcing skills (internet, networking, cold calling).
• Experience with CRM and applicant tracking systems.
• Ability to work remotely in Oregon (Portland, Eugene, Corvallis preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years in a business role with leadership experience.
• Experience with executive or senior clinical leadership searches.
• Experience working with various clinical roles in healthcare.
• Knowledge of clinician compensation plans.
• Adherence to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy for remote workers.

The salary range is $89,800 to $176,700 annually, based on full-time employment, with benefits including health coverage, incentives, stock purchase, and 401k.
