Archbold in Thomasville, GA seeks an IS Principal Application Architect to bridge clinical practice and enterprise tech. You willDesign the digital architecture powering healthcare delivery, ensuring interoperable data and streamlined clinical workflows.
You will mentor informatics leaders and align Cerner-based platforms with organizational goals. Lead strategic roadmaps, optimize EHR-like systems, and drive data governance using SNOMED-CT/LOINC/ICD-10 while upholding HIPAA and safety
Qualifications
- Cerner Millennium expert with configuration and tools knowledge.
- 15+ years in healthcare IT with enterprise system design.
- Leads Informatics teams and collaborates with CMIOs/CIOs.
- Deep API and healthcare integration pattern expertise.
- Experience deploying in AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Healthcare.
- Ability to translate architecture to senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Architect and execute long-term clinical technology vision.
- Lead design and optimization of Cerner workflows and tools.
- Mentor executives and informatics teams on analytics and systems.
- Design workflows to reduce clinician cognitive load.
- Drive data standards: FHIR, HL7, DICOM for interoperability.
- Develop training programs on Cerner workflows and capabilities.
- Govern data quality with SNOMED-CT/LOINC/ICD-10 terminology.
- Ensure HIPAA/ safety standards and CDS integration.
