Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Senior Associate/Principal Chemist to lead environmental investigations and data quality efforts. The role supports BD and project delivery with analytical chemistry expertise, data interpretation, and client engagement.

Hybrid work from Valley Forge, PA, or Knoxville, TN, or fully remote is available. The role emphasizes technical leadership, proposal development, and critical reviews of QA/QC and data management plans in an environmental consulting setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input and market-facing guidance to grow the Chemistry and Data Quality Solutions practice.
• Lead business development activities, identify qualified leads and develop proposals to secure work.
• Prepare or review environmental sampling plans, QAPPs, and data management plans.
• Develop technical memoranda, expert report sections, and presentation materials.
• Engage with clients to explain analytical results and interpret data.
• Support QA/QC reviews of laboratory data and method summaries.
• Travel to offices, sites, and meetings as needed.
• Maintain/better billability while pursuing BD initiatives.
