As a Principal Chemical Engineer at Honeywell, you will play a key role in a team of chemical engineers to transfer our technology to customers and develop innovative solutions. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive product development, provide technical expertise and guidance to customers, and ensure the successful execution of projects. Additionally, you will oversee the design, construction, and operation of chemical processes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
You will report directly to the Senior Chemical Engineering Manager and work out of our Des Plaines, Illinois location on a Hybrid work schedule.
Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, new hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite Monday‑Friday.
Annual base salary range: $162,000 – $203,000. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education, key skills, and market and business considerations.
U.S. Person Requirement: Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, the candidate must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status, or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
